“Start from the curiosity, and cite the book properly” — session 06
Context: the author’s first review of the opening article (then called the hub). Journal: session 06.
I’d rewrite the whole article in a slightly lighter, more sarcastic tone, but only slightly, just now and then.
I wouldn’t cite [those study notes], and I’d remove every reference to them (I’m not even sure [they’re published with the rights holders’ permission]). Instead I’d be much more precise in citing the exact (US) edition of the book, with a proper reference that gives it its due prominence. I’d start with a joke: since I work on agentic-AI security, I got curious and reopened this book (the reference: encyclopedic, timeless), mentioning in passing that I own the Italian edition, which I studied several years ago and which struck me even then with how modern these concepts were. I remembered well that they fit perfectly today too, and I was curious to put them on the ground with Docker sbx.
(translated from Italian)
Why it matters: it gave the series its opening and its sources. The overture now begins from the author’s curiosity, the US 4th edition is cited in full at the top, and no third-party summary is cited anywhere (ADR-0015).
Recorded after the fact, in session 09: /wrap had no step for prompts, so none was recorded between sessions 04 and 08. The text is the author’s message from the session, translated.
